NEC Scholarship under the syllabus:
- Bachelor’s degree course
- PG Diploma Course
- Diploma / certificate course
- Phil and Ph.D.
Eligibility Criteria for NEC Scholarship:
- Claimants must be permanent residents of any state in the North East
- Contestants must have the relevant qualifications required from a well recognized institution or university.
- For General candidates: Maximum marks 55%
- For SC / ST candidates: 50%
- Aptitude test for diploma, degree and postgraduate courses
- In-service aspirants are not covered by this scheme.
Selection Procedure for NEC Scholarship:
After proper advertisement and selection process mentioned in Annex V, the candidates for diploma level will be selected by the State Government.
Procedure to apply online for NEC Scholarship
- Open your internet browser to go to the official website of the department, which is at megeducation.gov.in / scholarships.gov.in.
- A “State Scheme” tab will be found on the home page and a new page will appear on your digital screen link and hit on it.
- After that, a notification will appear on your digital screen about the NEC scholarship.
- After reading the notification, you have to hit the “Apply” link
- Then fill the application form correctly and attach the relevant documents and check the North Eastern Council Scholarship application form again.
- Finally, take a print for future use
