Prime Minister Narendra Modi says under the ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’ campaign, India will fight malnutrition with various scientific approaches and make the initiative a mass movement
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Potion Campaign with the aim of making India malnutrition free by 2023. All the states, districts and cities will be included in the central government’s PM Modi Potion Abhiyan Abhiyan 2020. People can now see the list of PM Poshan Abhiyaan’s activities and content online at poshanabhiyaan.gov.in. The tagline of this PM Potion campaign is Sahi Potion Desh Roshan. The purpose of this program is to provide adequate nutrition to infants, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
So far, around 9,42,48,135 people have participated in the Potion Campaign. Of these, 1,72,56,529 are male adults while 3,09,08,019 are female adults. This collective campaign includes 1,96,00,703 male children and 2,15,59,626 female children.
Wherein, during the harvest season, Anganwadi workers collect a handful of rice grains from people. These grains are further used to make hot food for children and women.” He further added that through this mass movement and various scientific measures malnutrition can be reversed for the betterment of the nation.

Potion Campaign by the Government of Gujarat.
CM Vijay Rupani has launched a state-wide “Potion Campaign” in Gujarat, a central government scheme aimed at making India malnutrition free. The 2-year nutrition campaign will cover all cities, towns and villages. Government of Gujarat Launched Potion Scheme on 23 January 2020 to take the lead in human development. Rupani announced cash prizes of Rs. 12,000 for Anganwadi, ASHA and ANM workers, who eliminate malnutrition in the coming year.
