Karnataka Saptapadi Marriage Scheme 2020
Saptapadi Vivah Yojana launched by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, Karnataka State Government for newly married couples. All those couples who are going to tie a knot within the next few days can avail the scheme. The scheme has been released by the government on 10 January 2020. Under this scheme, the government is going to provide financial assistance of Rs. 55000 / – to each couple. The couple will have to go to the shortlisted temples and register for mass marriage. The plan is to operate around 90- 100 temples. Around 1000 couples across the state can benefit.

Benefit of the Saptapadi Vivah Yojana
Under this scheme, applicants will get the following cash benefits:
- Mangalsutra is priced at Rs. 40,000 for the bride.
- Rupees. 5,000 in cash to the groom
- Rupees. Cash in bride from 10,000
Eligibility Criteria of Saptapadi Vivah Yojana
- Only those claimants who belong to the state of Karnataka are eligible to apply.
- They are mass marriages that are taking place in shortlisted temples
- To avail the assistance provided under this scheme, both the bride and groom’s parents should attend the marriage.
- The age of the applicants should be as per the criteria. The groom’s age should be 18 years or more and the groom’s age should be 21 years or more.
- This scheme is eligible only for Hinduism.
Who can not apply for the Saptapadi Vivah Yojana ?
- Those who are getting married without parental permission are not eligible to receive the scheme benefits.
- If the age of the applicants is not as per the criteria.
- Applicants other than Hinduism.

Saptapadi Marriage Scheme Registration Process
Candidates are required to follow the procedure given below for registration:
- Claimants must go to the advisory department to register themselves
- Collect application form from.
- Fill the nomination application form
- Write all the necessary details in the application
- Paste passport size photograph of groom and bride on the form
- Attach necessary documents to the list as described above
- Submit the application form to the temple office.
