One day during my winter vacations last year I went to Agra to see the Taj Mahal with my friends. The Taj Mahal is situated on the bank of the river Yamuna.
It was build by Shahjahan in the sweet memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Today, it is listed as one of ” The 7 wonders of the world.”
The Taj Mahal is made of pure white marble. The building has a dome in its centre and four minarets in four corners.
The emperor and the Empress lie buried side-by-side. Twenty thousand workmen worked for twenty years to build this historic monument.
In a full moon night we stayed there for about three hours. It was awesome. The sweet memory of the Taj is still fresh in my mind. It is indeed beautiful and its beauty cannot be described in words.
