The Uttarakhand government has started receiving online registration for Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana (Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana (AAUY) Online Registration) under the country’s largest Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat scheme. Beneficiaries can register online for the Atal Ayushman Yojana on the ayushmanuttarakhand.org portal. The central government’s Ayushman Bharat – PM Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was launched by PM Modi on 23 September 2018, in which poor families could get free treatment up to 5 lakh. Seeing the importance of this scheme, the Uttarakhand government has made some changes in this scheme and started this government scheme for all the people of the state. Meaning now anyone in the state of Uttarakhand can avail this scheme. For Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana (Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana – AAUY), any citizen of the state can register online on the official website.
Around 18 lakh other families will be added to the PM-JAY scheme from AAUY scheme. Now Uttarakhand Ayushman Bharat Yojana beneficiary will have a total of 23 lakh families, who can get free treatment in any government or private hospital. The state government will provide health insurance cover to every family of Rs 5 lakh under this scheme. Irrespective of the number of members in the family or anyone of any age, gender, cashless and paperless treatment can be done.
No pre-existing conditions in the Atal Ayushman Yojana (AAUY) have been removed. So far, more than 100 hospitals are covered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Uttarakhand.

- Here the candidates will have to give all their information such as address, voter card number, ration card number, e-mail ID and mobile number and details of their family members.
- After filling all the information properly, to complete the registration process, you have to click on “Submit” below, after which your registration will be completed.

The main and important features of AAUY Scheme (AAY Uttarakhand Scheme Highlights) are given below:
- Every family will get a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh for secondary and tertiary care.
- There is no restriction on family size, age or sex under the AAUY scheme.
- There is no need to pay any money on hospitalization for any treatment.
- Uttarakhand PMJAY-AB will also include pre and post hospitalization expenses.
People can go to any public / private hospitals across the country for treatment and avail the treatment under AAUY Benefits. Beneficiaries will need to carry any of the prescribed IDs to the hospital to receive treatment.
