The YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme has been launched by the Chief Minister of the newly elected government of Andhra Pradesh. On 30 May 2019, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced to increase the pension amount from Rs 1000 to Rs 3000. The YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme will be 100% government funded. This scheme will be applicable from June 2019. Under Andhra Pradesh, the old age pension scheme beneficiary will get pension benefits on a monthly basis.
AP Chief Minister YSR Kanuka Yojana
The AP CM YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme is a pre-poll promise. After taking oath as Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered for the imposition of the new old age pension scheme with immediate effect. Now the entire existing and new beneficiary will get Rs 3000 every month instead of Rs 1000. In the first year of inclusion of the beneficiary under the YSR pension scheme, the pension amount will be Rs 2250, after which it will be increased on an annual basis for each beneficiary. .

The purpose of YSR Pension Kanuka
In order to make senior citizens self-reliant in old age and provide them with better livelihood options, the newly elected government of Andhra Pradesh has announced old age pension scheme. This scheme will definitely reduce the poverty level of the state.
YSR Pension Kanuka Plan 2020
AP Chief Minister YSR Pension Kanuka is a part of the scheme “Navrathanalu” which includes various welfare and development programs. As per the earlier survey promised by Andhra Pradesh state Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, the pension amount will increase along with the reduction in the age criteria for old age pension. It is a major welfare measure to overcome the difficulties of poor and weaker sections of society. Pension Kanuka Yojana encompasses 12 types of pensions, namely:

YSR Pension Scheme Scheme Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant should belong to BPL family
- Applicant should have BPL Ration Card
- Applicant must be a resident of AP
- Applicant should not be covered under any other pension scheme

Details of financial amount in Pension Kanuka
Increase in the amount of pension to old age persons, widows, Todi tappers, weavers, single women, fishermen, ART (PLHIV) persons, traditional cobblers, Rs.250 / – per month, disabled persons, transgender and dappu artists. 3,000 / – per month, and also for those affected by chronic kidney disease, who are undergoing dialysis for both government and network hospitals. 10,000 / – per month.

- Now select “Pension ID” or “GR Complaint ID” option and enter the details asked
