Recently Odisha state government has announced new merger of both schemes KALIA and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The government is going to implement the merger plan from the upcoming financial year. Odisha PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme List 2020
The Odisha PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a central government scheme launched by the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. This scheme has been launched to provide financial assistance especially to small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, those farmer families with land holdings / ownership up to 2 hectares will get monetary benefits. Government Rs. Will provide. 6000 / – per year in three equal installments directly into the bank account of the farmers.
Odisha Kalia Scheme
The Kalia scheme is a state government initiative for farmers, farmers, harvesters and landless agricultural laborers. KALIA stands for Farmer Assistance for Livelihood and Income Promotion Scheme. The main objective of the government behind the KALIA scheme is to help the farmers of the state financially to enhance the growth and development of agriculture in the state. Under this scheme, financial assistance to the beneficiary is Rs. 12500 as livelihood support for landless families, especially for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes families, Rs. Life insurance cover of 2 lakhs and additional personal accident cover of Rs.2 lakhs for both farming and landless agricultural laborers. The benefit of the scheme will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
Odisha Kalia and PM Kisan Merger Scheme
The Odisha government has decided to merge both the Farmers Assistance for Livelihood and Income Promotion (Kalia) scheme and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The merger plan will be implemented in the coming financial year. The government is still preparing the modalities of the merger plan. A senior government official has revealed that farmers who own up to five acres of land, which fall under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, will get Rs. 6000 / – annually with an additional benefit of Rs. 4000 / – from the State Government. Other farmers who do not come under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will get Rs. 12500 / – as promised under Kaliya. Those farmers who do not fall under Kalia, but are listed under PM farmer, will get Rs. 6000 / – per year.
