Diwali is an important festival of the Hindus. It falls on the Amavasya of Kartika every year. It is celebrated all over India. It marks the memory of the return of Rama to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile.
Diwali has its own value and utility. People clean their shops, houses and offices and buy new clothes, utensils, sweets and fruits. They send gifts to friends and relatives.
