The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme is a skill training scheme of the central government under which the central government provides skill training to students in government, private institutions. Under this National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) of the Government of India, training is given for all those who must win to get jobs. So that he can get a good job by getting training. Apprenticeship is a dual training system in which the candidate acquires on-the-job training (On the job – OJT) in industrial supervision as well as knowledge of classroom related instructions.
Under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme 2019, 1 to 1.5 years of skills training and qualification training in apprenticeship is given, along with the salary is also given to the candidate. Apart from this, if the candidate does a good job in the company, then he also gets a permanent job in the organization. Under this government scheme, after completion of training, the learners or candidates are also given certificates by the Government of India. - The candidates will first have to visit the official mhrdnats.gov.in portal of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
- Click on the option of “Enroll” in the tab given above on the homepage of the website, as shown in the image below.
- On the homepage, scroll over the “Apprentices” tab in the main menu and click “Candidate Registration” or directly click this link

The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme in India will help in enabling the technical skills of the candidates along with the required skills. In which the trainees are trained by the organization at their place of work. The trainers will decide whether the trainees are fully prepared for the job. Employers will also have half of the stipend amount given during training. That means both the Government of India and the employer together will provide the scholarship amount to the student.
The trainee learns skills during training as well as work culture, ethics, and organizational behavior, which work in a company as well as routine. Anyone who is at least 16 years of age can apply to the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme. Students who have done engineering degree or diploma can also avail the scheme.
