Uttarakhand Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana 2020 – List

Uttarakhand government is going to start Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana for small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, the government will provide soft loans to all farmers at low interest rates. The Uttarakhand government will provide agricultural loans up to Rs 1 lakh at an interest rate of only 2%. This assistance under Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Sahkarita Kalyan Yojana will enable farmers in hilly areas to earn more income and also promote mixed farming.

Deendayal Upadhyaya Cooperative Farmers Welfare Scheme has been launched by the Government of Uttarakhand in the year 2019-20 to provide benefits to small and marginal farmers. All farmers will get loans at low interest rates through this farmer welfare scheme. Financial assistance will be given to farmers in hilly areas to earn more income and to promote mixed farming. The main objective of the KKY scheme is to double farmers’ income by 2023. Farmers in rural areas can maintain their livelihood and also get relief from debt trap. The Integrated Cooperative Development Scheme and Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana have been launched at Rudrapur, Udhamsinghnagar in Uttarakhand on 14 February 2019 at a cost of about Rs 340 crore. The inauguration was done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

UK Govt Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana – Two new schemes have been launched by the Government of Uttarakhand to give a major benefit to the agriculture sector and raise the standard of living of the farmers. These two schemes are named as Integrated Cooperative Development Scheme and Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana. Under this scheme of Uttarakhand, the government has extended the time to repay the loan amount within a period of 3 years at a 2% interest rate only which is very low and within a period of 3 years. Legal action will be taken after 1 year of non-payment of loan amount by the farmer.

Eligibility for Deendayal Upadhyaya Cooperative Farmers Welfare Scheme-

To avail the Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana, the following eligibility is required.

  •     Applicant must be a citizen of Uttarakhand.
  •     Applicant’s profession should be in agriculture.
  •     Small and marginal farmers are eligible to apply for this scheme only.
  •     No member of the farmer’s family should be a government employee or else he will not be able to take advantage of this scheme.
