Good morning Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends!

As we all gather here today on the great occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, on this occasion I want to say a few words on one of the most important topics of India, which is known as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. A campaign launched by the Government of India to tackle the problem of sanitation across the country. This campaign has been specifically done to educate the people and acknowledge the importance of cleanliness in our environment.

This campaign was launched by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rajghat on 2 October 2014 as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. India’s father Mahatma Gandhi always believed in cleanliness in his surroundings and once said that cleanliness is more important than independence.

This campaign is specifically aimed at giving people access to toilets and curbing open defecation systems, cleaning rivers like Ganga and Yamuna which are highly polluted, spreading awareness about waste management etc. This campaign is a major step taken by the Government of India in the direction of development. In India, because cleanliness opens the door to prosperity and success in life and it can be successful only when every citizen of India vows to maintain cleanliness in the area around it as it is not the responsibility of the government alone.

Speech 3 – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for kids and Students in Very Simple Words

Good morning everybody. My name is …… and I study in class…. As we have gathered here on this great occasion, I want to say something about this Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in front of this huge crowd in my own words. I specifically chose this topic because of the increasing need for cleanliness across India, which can only be done with the support of every citizen of the country. Mahatma Gandhi, the great man of India, said that “cleanliness is more important than freedom”. India is still a developing country due to poverty, lack of education, lack of sanitation and other social issues. We need to eliminate all the evil causes from the society that hinders the growth and development of our country.

And I think the cleanliness campaign is the best beginning to eradicate social issues from the society as well as to promote the development of the country with the personal development of its citizen. Only the success of the cleanliness drive can bring a big positive change in India. It will support the internal and external growth and development of all those living in India which signifies to us the perfection of the slogan “Healthy and developed nation of clean, happy and healthy citizens”. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched on 2 October 2014 on Gandhi Jayanti (145th birth anniversary) by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

Mahatma Gandhi was well aware of the weakness of the Indian rural people during his Indian independence movement. He had dreamed of making this country a clean country and even he had given great emphasis among the rural people by many means, but could not complete due to incomplete participation of the people. After many years of independence, we are still living in dirty environment and risking our lives every moment. According to a report, about 30% of rural people do not have safe access to toilets and use open defecation systems in the fields. Former Indian President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee while addressing Parliament in June 2014 stated that “Ach Swachh Bharat Mission” will be launched to ensure cleanliness, waste management and hygiene across the country. This will be our tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary in 2019.

To ensure sanitation across the country, it is very important to solve the problems of sanitation, safe toilets, and proper waste management. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, during his speech on Indian Independence Day on 15 August 2014, stressed to the people about ‘Swachh Bharat’, although the mission was successfully launched on 2 October 2014. This mission has set a target of its completion by 2019 is Bapu’s 150th birth anniversary. The mission aims at eliminating all unhealthy practices as well as complete sanitation facilities by 2019. It was on 25 September 2014 when the first cleanliness drive was launched by the Indian Prime Minister. It counts as a major awareness campaign in India that went viral.

Proper sanitation and hygiene has the potential to change the global perception about India and attract more tourists every year which in turn will boost India’s economy to a great level. According to this campaign, every Indian citizen has been requested to dedicate 100 hours per year to cleanliness in India. There is also a standard for building separate toilets for boys and girls in every school and colleges across India for the safety and hygiene of students. As a student and most importantly an Indian citizen, I also request all those gathered here to participate in this mission to compete till 2019.

Jai Hind !

Clean India, Shashkta Bharat.

Speech 4 – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for kids and Students in Very Simple Words

Good morning to the honorable Principal, teachers and my colleagues. My name is ……, I study in class…. First of all I would like to say a big thank you to my class teacher for taking some time on this great occasion to give my opinion on the big campaign of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in front of all of you. It is said that the youth of the country is the future of the country.

Therefore, as a citizen, student and youth of the country, I understood my responsibility for the development of the country and chose this topic to improve the awareness of this mission among the people of India. This mission is also called ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ or ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. This is a major national campaign launched by the Government of India on 2 October 2014. The date of launch of this campaign was chosen on 2 October, which is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi as it was Bapu’s dream to make India a clean India.

The campaign for Swachh Bharat was officially launched in Rajghat, New Delhi after Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself cleaned the streets. This mission is the biggest cleanliness drive ever, when around 30 lakh government employees including school and college students participated in the event. The Indian Prime Minister initially nominated nine famous personalities from India, starting this campaign in their territories as well as to bring the drive to flow. He requested all nine of those personalities to call on another nine people to continue this series (such as a tree branch) until each Indian joined the mission, as it was called until 2019. To complete, is the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The mission aims to establish the availability of individual sanitary latrine in low-cost sanitary latrine, hand pumps, proper bathing, sanitation, sanitary morts, drains, soak pits, disposal of solid and liquid waste, increasing people. Awareness of health and hygiene, maintaining environment and personal hygiene etc. Earlier on 1 April in 1999, for this mission, the Government of India implemented sanitation programs under the name ‘Total Sanitation Campaign’ (TSC), but it was not so effective even after taking effect. Launch of incentive scheme called Nirmal Gram Puraskar to promote TSC. Later, on 1 April 2012, the same program was renamed as Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) and was finally relaunched as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on 2 October 2014.

The main objective of this campaign is to achieve the vision of a clean India by 2019, on 2 October (150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi). The mission has been declared by the Government of India as “beyond politics” and “inspired by patriotism”, which is credited to all citizens of India. Some other specific objectives are to eliminate open defecation in every area, promote manual scavenging, reuse and recycling of municipal solid waste, hygiene and health behavior change among people, linking it to public health and Private areas have to be facilitated. Participate in this mission for large-scale capital expenditure and maintenance.

Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.

Swachh Bharat, Khushal Bharat.

Speech 5 – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for kids and Students in Very Simple Words

Good morning to my esteemed Principal and teachers. I… study in class… I want to give my opinion about the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ in front of all of you on this special occasion. I have specifically chosen this topic to be a part of the campaign and to raise awareness among the public. The ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ is a major campaign in India as around 3 million government employees and students have participated on its launch day. This mission seeks active participation of people of any age group from all corners of the country and is to complete the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by 2 October. This campaign was launched specifically to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of ‘Swachh Bharat’ on 2 October 2014 (145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi).

Mahatma Gandhi had dreamed of a clean India and said that, “Cleanliness is more important than freedom”. According to the 2011 census data, it was estimated that only 32.70% of the total rural population has access to toilets. According to a United Nations report, India is the country where the largest number of people in the world use the open defecation system. However, the figures have changed considerably since the start of this campaign. As of November 2018, 96.55% of the total rural population now has access to toilets and more than 5 lakh villages have already been made open defecation free. The nationwide cleanliness campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Mission was launched from Valmiki Basti in New Delhi. He had requested 1.25 billion people from India to join the campaign addressing the nation on the day of launch.

He himself led the way to Valmiki settlement after paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri on his death anniversary. He said that “The logo of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is not just a logo, through it Gandhiji is watching us and we all should clean India”. Doing everything is not the sole responsibility of the government. Be it temples, mosques, gurudwaras or any other place, we should also try to clean up our surroundings. Cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the ‘cleaning worker’, but it is also the responsibility of 125 crore Indians. If Indians can reach Mars, can we not clean our neighborhood? ”

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has the following objectives: Availability of individual toilets, eliminating open defecation, raising public awareness for hygiene, using toilets among the general public, promoting behavior change, keeping villages clean, solid and liquid Proper disposal of waste, setting. Construction of water pipelines in villages, ensuring water supply etc. This mission is the ultimate goal of making our country a clean and developed country forever, to make our country clean and prosperous citizens.

Hail India.

Clean India, Happy India.

Speech 6 – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for kids and Students in Very Simple Words

My name is ……, I study in class ……. First of all I would like to say good morning to the respected teachers. I am very grateful to my class teacher for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to show my talent in front of me. I have chosen the theme of Swachh Bharat Mission, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan because of its need and a huge responsibility for all of us. It is a mass movement launched by the government to make India a clean India by 2019. Mahatma Gandhi, also known as Bapu or the father of the nation, has always insisted on ‘clean’ people for their healthy and prosperous lives, though could not become so effective due to very little cooperation from the people.

Keeping in mind the cleanliness and health of India, the Government of India launched a campaign called ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ on 2 October 2014 (Bapu’s 145th birth anniversary) and it was launched on 2 October 2019 (Bapu’s 150th birth anniversary ) Aimed to complete. . This mission has been implemented to maintain sanitation to all rural and urban areas of the country. Inaugurating the mission, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “I do not claim that only the newly elected government has done everything. All governments have done something to achieve cleanliness in the country; I wish all the best for this. Clean India Mission is beyond politics. It is inspired by patriotism and not by politics. ”

Cleanliness is not limited to any person or place; It is the responsibility of everyone to make themselves clean as well as their environment and try to make India a truly clean India in the near future. It is a joint responsibility of 1.2 billion people living in the country. To make this campaign an effective and successful mission, the Indian Prime Minister has planned to make a series of nine people. On the day of the launch of the mission, the PM nominated nine Indian celebrities to join the mission in their own territories to start this campaign. He also requested them to re-nominate another nine people to join the campaign to continue this series until the campaign’s message reached all corners of the country.

The objective of this campaign is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in every and every corner by eliminating open defecation in the country completely. With the maintenance of sanitation and hygiene in India, there will be a lot of opportunities in the country to improve the tourism sector in the country as well as to enhance its economic condition to keep its citizens healthy and happy. Cleanliness will keep everyone happy and healthy in every way whether physically, mentally, socially or intellectually by reducing the chances of diseases.

Hail India.

Clean India, disease free and economically strong India.

Speech 7 – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for Teachers in Very Simple Words

Good morning my dear students, colleagues and honored guests. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is _______ and I teach ______ the standard ______.

We have gathered here on a special occasion today and I have been asked by the management to deliver a relevant speech.

There are two events that the nation is celebrating today, first, it is the 150th anniversary of the father of the nation and secondly, it is also a five-year “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” or “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. Got success

It is about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan that I will give a speech on today. Most of us know that the campaign was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi on the same date five years ago.

The campaign launched on 2 October 2014 was not new and was only a modification of the Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) or Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan (NBA) launched on 1 April 2000 and 1 April 2012 respectively. But previous campaigns failed to achieve their objective because they were not realistic enough.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has overcome the inefficiencies of previous similar campaigns. A realistic and practical approach was adopted by the government to make the campaign a success.

Attempts were made to involve the general public, volunteers, people like you and me to participate in the cleanliness drive in their capacities. A huge publicity of the campaign by politicians, television and film personalities and eminent people from different backgrounds made the campaign a huge success.

It proved to be the largest cleanliness drive ever on Indian soil, with more than three million students, government employees participating in this campaign in 4043 cities, towns and villages in India.

The campaign had two parts – Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen (Rural) and Swachh Bharat Mission Urban. Surveys conducted by government agencies and NGOs show that this campaign to make India open defecation free has been a grand success.

Since the launch of the campaign, more than 9.16 crore toilets have been built across the country alone in rural areas, declaring 5.5 lakh villages open defecation free. Not to mention the toilets that are built in areas with large pavements in urban settlements.

There are many success stories of the campaign and its people. For example, Mr. Anand Jha constructed toilets for the poor from Darbhanga, Bihar with his own money, only to be reimbursed by the government later.

Another story is of Mumbai’s Mr. Afroz Shah, who went to clean up Versova beach in 2015, which was then Mumbai’s dirtiest beach, with all kinds of dustbins and plastics. But, three years later due to the efforts of Mr. Shah and his team of volunteers, the beach has returned to its ancient glory.

Like Mr. Anand Jha and Mr. Afroz Shah there are thousands among us, we all need to encourage their cause and appreciate their efforts.

My dear students, you do not need to be as famous as Mr. Jha and Mr. Afroz to be a champion of cleanliness. I understand that all of you are dedicated to your studies and you do not have extra time. However, you can always practice cleaning yourself and also inspire others for this.

Even small tasks like cleaning roads, schools or toilets do not take up much of your precious time and will be a great act of cleanliness in its capacity. In addition, you can convince your relatives in the villages to stop defecating in the open if they are and rather have the government build a toilet that provides financial support.

However, the campaign may have achieved more than 90% of its target agenda, as is always the case. The time has come for us to celebrate our sanitation and the fact that we are open defecation free, if not 100%, but we also cannot relax and make this cleanliness campaign in its present form for years to come. have to keep.

Thank you all for listening so patiently and I once again wish all of you Happy Gandhi Jayanti and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan!

Speech 8 – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for Teachers in Very Simple Words

My dear colleagues, students, staff members and honored guests. I am __________, a teaching faculty of this school, who teaches _______ the standard _________.

Today is the day when we celebrate the 150th birthday of our father of the nation as well as the culmination of a five-year cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched on 2 October 2014 was theoretically a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhiji was very particular about cleanliness and on some occasions he said that cleanliness is more important than independence.

In 2015, India was declared the most open defecation free country in the world. It was the open defecation capital of the world, 40% of its total population, about 550 million people defecating in the open; There is a shameful truth for a nation that is proud of Mahatma Gandhi and his ideology.

Furthermore, it is not just open defecation that addresses the campaign, but it also deals with many other issues such as pollution of land and water bodies, cleaning of roads, offices, schools and public places. All campaigns include cleanliness related to all areas of human settlement.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is the flagship campaign of other sanitation campaigns like “Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan”, which involves school children and teachers, for cleaning their school premises and toilets.

The 2016 Union Budget allocated a fund of Rs 620 billion to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Abhiyan was also funded by the World Bank for funding of 1.5 billion and 25 million US dollars respectively.

Thus began the journey of India’s largest ever cleanliness campaign that will involve millions of people as sanitation volunteers in the coming years. Through rigorous campaigning and teams of dedicated volunteers, the campaign was highly successful in reaching the grassroots.

Gradually, people became more aware and began to accept the importance of a clean house and locality. Open defecation is prohibited and today we are closing fast on becoming completely open defecation free.

Thanks to the campaign, today our schools have clean drinking water facilities as well as clean and separate toilets for both boys and girls. Students are also enthusiastically participating in village and road cleaning campaigns like never before. It is an inspiring story for the nation, which for some years was subject to the curse of open defecation and litter.

Now people are beginning to feel the need for dustbin in homes as well as public places. The government has also planned to install digital dustbins at key locations, which will fill up and send text messages to the cleaning staff.

The success of the campaign was attributed to the collection and successful disposal of waste from every rural and urban household. Today, a garbage collection van reaches almost every household and collects waste. This waste is separated and either recycled according to quality.

To acknowledge the efforts of the municipal bodies and other agencies working for the success of the campaign, the Government of India has conducted a survey to declare it the cleanest city in India. Indore stood first in Madhya Pradesh followed by Bhopal in second place.

But, this success is not the end as many cities are far behind in the cleanliness index. It is therefore a good work but still far from being completed. We have almost achieved our goal of freeing defecation in the open, but we still lag behind many other aspects of cleanliness.

The campaign of Swachh Bharat should not end here and we must continue our fight with the same vigor and enthusiasm. Only then will it be a true tribute to the father of the nation and the principles he believed in.

With this I would like to end my speech, I hope to enable you to understand the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Thank you!
