Today it has been 40 years since our country became independent, but daughters are not free in our country. Our Prime Minister has also presented Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.
Our Honorable Prime Minister has introduced Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to protect the daughters and to protect their birth i.e. their birth and life.
Due to Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, the daughter will get protection, as our government has also made rules to protect daughters under this scheme so that they will get protection.
It has been happening in our country that people used to give birth to their daughters. But now, under the guise of technical facilities, some people kill their daughters feticide when they know that it is a crime to commit feticide.
In our country, fetal murders are done in our country. Because of this, the number of daughters is decreasing. The mentality of some people cannot be changed even due to this scheme and rules, but it will make such a difference that people will not commit feticide of daughters due to fear of law.
Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana In Hindi (BBBP Scheme)
- Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana is a very important scheme for our country. Due to this scheme, our country is beginning to understand the value of daughters. And there has been a change in the mindset of some people that daughters are our wealth.
- This is not the case only daughters will be safe. Under this scheme, the daughter will be safe and her education will also be done so that she can make her identity in the society and live her life with dignity.
- This scheme was launched by the Honorable Prime Minister from Haryana on 22 January 2015.
- As we know the number of daughters is decreasing year after year. In our country, the number of daughters per 1000 boys is 945 in 1991, 927 in 2001, and 918 in 2011. The number of girls was decreasing drastically day by day. Keeping this in mind, this plan was implemented.
For the scheme, our government has set a budget of 100 crores. This plan is being supervised by three levels.
- First, Nationally – National Task Force Secretary of MWCD
- Second level at state level – State Task Force Secretary
- Third, at the district level – District Collector

Age Limitation To Apply For BBBP Scheme
- Under this scheme, girls can get benefit of this scheme till the age of 10 years. Apart from this, you can avail this scheme for 1 year.
Tax Advantage to Apply BBBP Scheme
- The amount withheld under this scheme will get tax benefits. Money withheld under this scheme will be exempted from income tax under 80-C.
Banks & Post Available for BBBP Scheme
- Like Sukana Samriddhi Yojana and Sukanya Dev Yojana, all banks and post offices can open accounts under this scheme.
Document Required to Apply for BBBP Scheme
- Birth certificate of girl
- Parent / Guardian Identity Card
- Proof of address of parents / guardian
Withdrawal Condition Of BBBP
- Under this scheme Depositor can withdraw up to 50% deposit for higher studies of daughter.
Account Transfer in BBBP
- Under this scheme, if the girl’s address changes and she can get her account transferred. Getting the account transferred is a very simple process.

- As we know this plan is only for the safety of daughters and their future.
- Under this scheme, our government first selected the districts in which maximum number of daughters were killed in feticide.
- It was implemented earlier in such districts, so that the government can focus on one place and achieve its objective.
- Under this scheme, the parents of the girl deposit the money. This amount can be deposited by the time the girl turns 21.
- After this, the girl turns 29, then the amount filled under this scheme can be withdrawn completely.
- But if the girl turns 18 and decides to get married, she can still withdraw her fund.
